THE RENOVATION AND DECORATION of an apartment in turn of the century Harperly Hall. The original floor plan was reimagined to have a lofty, open feel t0 maximize light and views of Central Park and to provide a setting for the owner’s collections. The new floor plan respects the proportions of the existing Renaissance Revival architecture, but reorganizes the public spaces with new applied pilasters, beams, and cornices. The traditional architectural details contrast with contemporary elements including a commissioned cast bronze and Moroccan tile fireplace.
