THE DECORATION OF A new villa within an historic Central Florida resort. John Milner Architects of Chadd’s Ford, Pennsylvania designed the Regency style house inspired by one of the last remaining great houses in Barbados. The interiors reinterpret Anglo-Caribbean and Old Florida tradition with the bold colors and whimsical style of 1930s grand resorts. Document and contemporary wallpaper patterns are custom colored in vivid hues and their patterns give the impression of tents and gardens and, along with the house’s green latticework treillage, blur the distinctions between inside and out. A rare Swedish Deco flatweave carpet and vintage Italian metal palm trees add exotic touches.
